Pristine: Locavore Love

Locavore… I too was a bit scared of that word at first, with all the eco-friendly veggies and the bio atmosphere that smells like compost. Phew, at Pristine, we’ve found the exception to the rule. Here, Locavore is more like ‘we adore,’ and that translates into a mushroom hazelnut tonka tart, butternut squash roasted with buckwheat honey, and cacio e pepe chard – the ultimate treat. To top it off, we devour an Ice Cream Sandwich with hazelnut butter, and roll away. All of this, thanks to Jeremy Grosdidier, formerly at Jules Verne and Plaza Athénée, and his partner Michelle Primc, ex-barista in New York. The intimate atmosphere makes it the perfect date.

Capsule: Charming Bistro

Heading to the 14th might sound like a trek, but trust us—Capsule is worth it! This charming bistro nails the vibe with a lively counter, retro-chic dining room (flashy green banquettes, white walls, vintage lights), and a warm Parisian soul. Behind the scenes, chef Mickaël Falotte (trained in Michelin-starred kitchens) serves up irresistible market-driven dishes: think scallops with parsnip sauce or chestnut cheesecake. It’s the kind of place we’d selfishly keep to ourselves—but hey, sharing is caring (sort of).
